Bio
Robin is a qualified physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, awarded by the University of the Western Cape in South Africa in 2012. With over 13 years of clinical experience, Robin has spent the last 7 years working closely with shoulder surgeons and upper limb specialists, gaining in-depth expertise in diagnosing and rehabilitating complex shoulder conditions. Her work in multidisciplinary settings has helped her develop a thorough, evidence-based approach to shoulder rehabilitation, always prioritising functional outcomes and patient-centred care.
Robin has a particular passion for treating post-operative shoulder conditions, especially rotator cuff repairs, labral repairs, and humeral fractures. While she enjoys working with a broad spectrum of shoulder injuries and dysfunctions, she finds the process of guiding patients through the early stages of post-operative care and back to full function to be especially rewarding. Her calm, empathetic approach and strong clinical reasoning make her a trusted partner in the recovery journey of both recreational and elite athletes, as well as everyday clients.
Robin has continued to advance her clinical knowledge through postgraduate education. She holds a postgraduate diploma in Sports Physiotherapy, with a strong focus on shoulder pathology in athletes, as well as a postgraduate diploma in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, which deepened her skills in diagnosing complex shoulder conditions, particularly those with associated neck and neural symptoms. She has also completed the highly regarded Upper Quadrant course run by Tanya Bell, which explored scapular stability and retraining shoulder stabilisers — concepts that Robin regularly integrates into her treatment plans.
Robin currently consults from Ringwood East and , where she accepts new patients and referrals for both acute and chronic shoulder presentations.
